Nancy is usually a shrewd and canny political poker player, but in pursing this impeachment inquiry she let her temper get the better of her and openly declared that she was trying to draw to an inside straight. Worse, she was publicly shown to have failed in that draw. Now she finds herself pursuing a bluff after all her cards are visible. Regardless of which party wins control of the House in 2020, I predict that Nancy’s reign as Speaker thereafter is done.

If Moscow Mitch has no intention of holding a real trial shouldn’t the Democrats refuse to participate?
