In a possible Absurdist play, with the soldiers so equally immoral on each opposing side, they would go home after the battles to alternating sides and not notice except for the differing language. And they would soon become accustomed to that until the next battle when the mix-up shuffling continues, ad infinitum.

Never fear. At this very moment president Trump is drawing up a Presidential order declaring the United States of America as a “terrorist nation”.

I guess in trumps limited mind.. drones killing civilians don’t count. torture at Guantanamo (and many more secret places) don’t count. Supporting groups overthrowing governments don’t count.

Iran never blew up a cultural site of any kind. Even Al Qaeda respected cultural sites important to them. ISIS is a terror organization of the likes we’ve never seen before. By the way, US has tortured (CIA black sites), assassinated (Soleimani, Al Baghdadi, Bin Laden), killed civilians (collateral damage of drone strikes), and Trump has pardoned/commuted/praised war criminals (i.e. Gallagher). So this cartoon has lost all meaning.

Looks like something big’s going down at the North Pole. I guess that coal in Trump’s stocking wasn’t the “beautiful clean” variety.

and, umm, we do do and have done those things.

I hear this argument quite a bit and usually respond that if you decide to act just like the terrorists (or enemy), then you are no different than the terrorists (or enemy) and have lost any moral high ground you claim to have, whether it is assassination, torture, or treatment of those captured on the battlefield.
