If classrooms didn’t have doors, that you can close and then get on with actually teaching instead of following a recipe that may or may not produce anything your particular kids need, nothing would ever get accomplished.
Ah yes joining the anti-intellectual elite, wonderful. Have you bothered to read any of these experts? No? Just joining in the pack of barking dogs then? Nothing to be proud of.
If you teach on the right school district the pension and salary are very very good. Long Island $100k average salary pension 60k-70k after 20-25 years, medical insurance cheap weekly contribution. Then the $70-$100 per hour Tutoring off the books
That’s exactly what teachers and students need; regurgitation of the same theories. Because textbook execs are so poor and district mucky mucks need more bedtime with politicians. And of course colleges win, too, because the amount of continuing education always matches the increase in salary. Oh I almost forgot the banks who are making interest on school loans. Wait, how does this help the teacher’s? Oh, that’s right. Teaching is a vocation and anyway they have three free months in the summer. And of course the kids are the most important thing. “Yertle the Turtle” was an allegory about Hitler, but I see an application here.

The Teacher unions would prevent it.
