Maggie says, "You know the tomatoes Mom gave us?" Ames says, "You mean?" Ames says, "Those weird and rare varieties she grows?" Maggie says, "Yeah. Where are they?" Ames says, "They got pushed behind the peanut butter, ketchup and aging hot dogs." Maggie says, "Now they really are heirloom tomatoes." Ames says, "We can bequeth them to the compost pile."

what a waste! Home-grown heirloom tomatoes are the best. And they don’t belong in the fridge. So sad that Americans throw away so much food.

Heirloom tomatos are the only decent store brought tomatos, but $6 bucks a pound!!!!!!! I’m glad it’s tomato season again.

Don’t put tomatoes in the fridge anyway. The cold hurts the flavor.
