time’s a-tickin’ when the baby’s a-kickin’

Well, Elly, you play-you pay.

And don’t get me started on the HOA fees !

When I was pregnant with my second, she liked to kick during church choir practice. A little 13-year-old girl sat next to me. She was adopted & had never known a pregnant woman before & had a million questions, which I answered. When the baby would kick, I would let the little girl feel it. That “baby” is turning 15 next week, and the “little girl” – now 27 – and I are still extremely close. I saw her just last week.

Good thing the baby doesn’t have a broom stick.

Why is she whining? It’s only for a few months.

I’ve really never thought about it as a man, until I read this strip – but it really must be miserable to be pregnant.

Forget about “doing what you want.”

Now, will this story arc actually last until … April?

Regarding panel 1:

It’s been my own personal experience that sleeping on one’s stomach is bad for the back.

There are a whole bunch of women that would like to do the same thing, and they aren’t pregnant. Just look around.

Pregnancies are shorter in cartoon months I guess.

She is huge for still having 5 weeks to go. I had a round belly, not huge all over like Elly is.

I remember when this strip rebooted back in 2008. Some folks were speculating about the current story line and when it would happen. At that time it seemed like it would be such a long time before we saw Elly pregnant. Now it is upon us and we’ll see the birth before too long. Time really does fly.

I still wonder how Lynn is going to handle the date juxtaposition. Originally it was a Sunday strip. This year, a Sunday strip just won’t fit at the proper date.

Duplex? Twins???
