So if Calvin or one of the duplicates get the bed with Hobbes, where do the others sleep? No way Calvin’s parents are going to get some extra sleeping bags at the R.E.I.; that might raise suspicion.

Whoever goes to school that day gets the bed. Hobbes has the bed to himself at weekends.

If the real Calvin goes to school one day a week, his words could not be more true, No one especially Calvin, will be the wiser.

How long until the duplicates realize that the original Calvind doesn’t have to go to school at all?

Many people say “lay low,” but I maintain the phrase should be “lie low.” I’ve been sensitive to the proper use of the verbs “lie” and “lay” ever since my writing prof cuffed me upside the head for misuse.

When I read this as a kid, I interpreted “No one will be the wiser” to mean “None of the six of us will have learned any more in school than the others.”

I have three very active boys (11, 7 & 5) all with a good dose of Calvin and one with a nasty mean (as I typed this he’s yelling at me and he threatened to knock me out) streak. I think every family with one boy should rent a couple more from time to time so they can understand the joys of being tag teamed.

No worries on the bed space. I’m pretty sure there is a dungeon under the bed and probably has plenty of room judging from the various monster voices at night…

He has multiple personalities, in addition to his numerous psychiatric disorders.

Hey, at least now he/they may outnumber the bed monsters.
