My partner and I have been calling 2019 our “Year From Hell.”

[a] She kicked it off going to the ER on Christmas Day 2018, needing three units of blood.[b] We both had our gallbladders out this year.© I’ve had a cardiac stress test done (the chemical version) as well as a cardiac echocardiogram.[d] I’ve had a CT scan with contrast of my abdomen to see if my gallbladder really was a problem. It was; it had been since 1992.[e] I had both knees replaced; one early September and one mid-November.[f] I had a balloon sinuplasty to finally open up my sinuses.

Other hijinks and hilarity bestowed on us by Teh Universe. (As I tell people, “Be careful what you ask for; Teh Universe is listening, It will answer, and it has a perverse sense of humor.”) We are SO ready for 2019 to go away.

father time at the end of the year -an old man in a dark robe often holding a scythe, pull up the hood and he’s not quite so charming is he, but both come from the roman God Saturn who rules time in it’s forms most noted in the crops growing and in medicine-derived from crops.

Re-reading this on 12/14/21 I laughed out loud at how naïve we were; not knowing that the world was about to change in a couple of months in the future. 2019 had it rough? Buckle your seatbelts. :)
