You might think a male specimen is big and tough, but it’s only about four inches long — the majority of that being mouth. And when it gets upward, out of its depth, it explodes. There are other essential details, too, but they would spoil the intent of the cartoon. (Sorry, I used to take special interest in these deep-sea creatures.)

It should of had sucker fish attached and their labels should say, supporters!

This fish has a powerful poison that causes a highly contagious disease… Any who come in contact with the fish or the individuals who are now or in the past, in contact with this deadly fish species will become infected with a ery nasty viral disease… Symptoms of the disease include loss of morality, loss of honesty, loss of ethical beliefs, loss of a spinal column…other symptoms include bottomless hunger for power, a driving hunger for a neverending fountain of easy wealth, a need for unending pleasures of gluttony and sexual abuse….the list of the adverse symptoms of this highly contagious disorder are too many to list here. Fish of this species should be destroyed immediately.

This toon would make a nice t-shirt.

Too many teeth. I see him as a muck-sucking, bottom feeder.

I wish he could be like an angler fish in other aspects besides the tremendous depths to which he’ll go and his hideous visage. I wish he were very rarely seen.

Politically inedible.

It looks bad but its afraid of its own shadow.

When that one is dead the species should be kept extinct.

All we need to do is let that abomination know that it is actually science. Since it doesn’t believe in science, it will vanish in a puff of logic! Problem solved.

New species? Not even close. America, yes, the world, is long afflicted with the Narcissus Bombastus species. They come in all shapes and sizes, male and female, black, brown and pale. This is just another sample of the widely variant and strongly thriving species.

Sadly, they will never be endangered.

I was thinking along the lines of a new specie of dung beetle.
