Actually the festival is practiced nationwide in Japan, not just Akita. The “Seto” in the name describes a particular area, evidently the Akita area. Should really be just Namahage Festival.
Why do people create drinks from animal poop!! First the coffee from civet poop and now gin from elephant poop. Seriously, who even considered doing this in the first place

checked and confirmed that the festival name is incorrect – it’s 柴灯祭 (sedo festival)…
not “namahage seto”…
なまはげ (namahage) is the name given to the child abuser ogres…
