Poor Mr. Payne won’t be able to get his usual high from sucking on those exhaust pipes.

I think that Payne is hinting that he wants to be Trump’s caddy at Merry-Lardo.

I wonder if they will be using the “linear flux” motors and any of the higher energy density batteries that are safer than lithium?

Hey. He loves to draw cars. So, thanks, Cadillac, for giving him another chance.

With all the technological advancements, Payne’s brain is stuck in the late 50’s.

Electric will lose a lot of appeal once the subsidies stop and they pay the same taxes as those fossil fuel guzzlers.

Or the fact that because cars are becoming fuel efficient we are less dependent on fossil fuels which makes gas cheaper. It is no surprise that that the big 3 cooperated with big oil for so long – profits for both. Between the less reliance on fossil fuel and trump’s determination to kill manufacturing fuel prices have gone down. Has anyone bothered to see where trump products are made?

@superposition: “The tamperproof system can be and has been builtand can be again if priorities can be changed.”

Tamperproof? Nope. If there’s intercommunication involved, then it’s always possible for a hostile entity to enter into the “conversation”.

And aside from transmissions on the road, there could also be an inside job of sabotage, e.g., corrupting the code in the next “upgrade”. What happens if millions of cars suddenly start trying to create collisions rather than avoid them?

“Now the customers do the alpha/beta testing on insecure prototypes.”

    E.g., on Boeing’s 737s?

I think that Payne’s making fun of GM for doing that? Maybe? Or maybe he’s just drawing a car w/ really big fins because it’s fun to draw a car with really big fins.

Yes, and it’ll travel about 10 miles, down hill with a tailwind and weigh about 7 tons.

They make an electric car with fins and even I might buy one.
