I’ve lived in FL & GA for a 35 yr combo. I’ve heard most of the myths, inc the one that they chase you. I knew it was a myth the time I was being chased & the explanations but I still felt chased & can’t shake that when I see the pretty old thangs.

I’ve had cottonmouth before, but I usually don’t bite.
The little cloud of hearts around the breeding ball is an adorable touch.
The myth that they are aggressive, is, in fact, a fact.
