Phil would be believable if our privatized “healthcare” system wasn’t the world’s worst in terms of cost and so many were losing their homes to cover medical costs. Education pays for itself in the value it adds to the economy. Doing nothing doesn’t seem like it solves any problems.
Yeah, let’s get rid of free stuff provided by what passes for our government. You know, stuff like police departments, fire departments and other luxury items. The 1% can pay for those services when they need them, the rest of us don’t need them, we are not worthy.
No one is claiming it is “free”. I have yet to meet anybody that doesn’t understand where the money comes from. The complaint I hear is that they don’t want some government bureaucrat denying them coverage. They would much prefer having an insurance company bureaucrat deny their coverage.
“Free stuff”? like schools, fire departments, police protection. . . ? None of which are free, actually, and nothing Sanders and Warren are proposing are free, either.
“Free Stuff” is more like the Koch brothers grandly parachuting in and funding a playground refurbishment in Wichita, by way of an argument against taxes. Big whoop.
Speaking of "free stuff’, here’s a look at Finland that has all that “free stuff”. Make your own mind up if that is a bad thing.
Finland Is a Capitalist Paradise: Can high taxes be good for business? You bet.
“Finally, and perhaps most shockingly, the nonpartisan watchdog group Freedom House has determined that citizens of Finland actually enjoy higher levels of personal and political freedom, and more secure political rights, than citizens of the United States.”
“But the Nordic nations as a whole, including a majority of their business elites, have arrived at a simple formula: Capitalism works better if employees get paid decent wages and are supported by high-quality, democratically accountable public services that enable everyone to live healthy, dignified lives and to enjoy real equality of opportunity for themselves and their children. For us, that has meant an increase in our personal freedoms and our political rights — not the other way around.”
“Saint Nicholas is the patron saint of sailors, merchants, archers, repentant thieves, prostitutes, children, brewers, pawnbrokers, and students in various cities and countries around Europe. His reputation evolved among the faithful, as was common for early Christian saints, and his legendary habit of secret gift-giving gave rise to the traditional model of Santa Claus…”
The key here is secret gift giving. Think about it.

What’s the matter, Phil? Have you been sniffing the conservative glue?
Open a window or take a walk to clear your head. You’re better than this BS.

C’mon, Phil. You know better than that.
Don’t start lying like the so-called ‘conservative’ cartoonists.

We get it, any system that doesn’t continue to shovel the working classes’ money into the pockets of the morbidly rich could not possibly work.

Tax breaks for billionaires are still popular with the Russian/Republicans.
Everyone else can pay for them.

“Free” as opposed to those infinite tax cuts (with the accompanying reduction in service) the GOP likes to dole out to the one percent?

Only a conservative would still believe in a Santa Claus aligned with the cost of health-care and education.

It’s not free, it will be paid for with the money the rich are stealing from the poor.
