Oh, here we go again with a crackdown on “food stamp slackers.” It’s an oldie but goodie! Are we going to again bring up the Welfare Queen? So many little unverifiable anecdotes about petty cheats will be posted — while certain large industries openly rake in billions in corporate welfare.

Republican Philosophy: Reward the rich with massive tax cuts, punish the poor by taking food out of their mouths. Because that’s what Jesus would want.

The pettiness of the repubs, during the school session they gripe about poor kids eating “free” lunches. Even Charles Dickens can’t shame them.

Those tax cuts came with a price.. Someone has to pony up the difference, the government needs money after all.

Food stamps are part of the budget of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. They are just one more way that corporate agriculture is supported by taxpayers. If food stamps were issued through any welfare agency, I’m afraid they would have been zeroed out a long time ago. I wonder how many families could be fed by the money paid directly to corporate farms as a result of the “subsidy” provided because of the tariffs?

Sadly, legislative and executive branch conservatives gutted the food stamp program long before Trump’s administration ever subtracted its two-cent share of insults to the injury.

The food stamp money is probably going to his phantom wall, or his pockets!

Food stamps were originally distributed as a prop for farmers who were producing surplus crops and it seemed logical to a more enlightened era that the gov should use the treasury to feed the poor rather then just buy the farmer’s surplus and dump it in the ocean.

While we’re discussing corporate welfare, let’s not forget the great midwest; the two-faced farmers, John Wayne loving, independent cowboys riding a John Deere all the way to the bank.

The overwhelming majority of food stamp recipients are people who don’t earn enough from their jobs to feed their families properly. Among all of Trump’s crimes, denigrating and punishing the poor is among the worst of all.
