As someone who lives in a state where hurricane/tropical storms and their aftermath happen, I can see Amend does not. Schools close down during flooding because even buses can’t navigate safely, and some of the schools will be flooded or have leaking roofs.

either those are ridiculously short chapters, or this is his way of saying they’ll be spending this time reviewing the entire semester. Actually, this could be a simple troll; since the flooding and torrential rain is probably causing a lot of absences he’s going to save some effort by just doing some review and giving extra credit to reward the few who actually showed up, and decided to mess with them by calling it a quiz.
