Yeah – make a once-every-10-years purchase, say a washing machine or refrigerator, and get pestered every day with pop-ups, emails and texts to buy a new one. C’mon, I’m not gonna buy another one for another 10 years now! Pester me then!

I use Linux OS-Firefox Browser set to Clear History when closed-AdBlocker Ultimate-Ghostery. All Free and I have no Pop-ups,etc. or problems at all, for several years now. Use the Internet, streaming movies, searches, etc. Nice and Cleanly, the Way It Should Be. :-) Just Select Your Filters and Set them How You Like. Linux also has a " Force a Misbehaving Application to Quit-Icon " which stops, clears and cleans out Any Web page that may Try to cause problems, like not allowing you to Exit. You-all Have a Great Day and Be Safe ! :-)

And it evolved to ignore quotes and ‘hit limits’ to return hits on every imputed pixel to the tune of billions rendering it almost useless. Reminiscent of the days AT&T gave the government nothing and were broken up and, IBM it turn sent the government truckloads to prove they are not a monopoly.

It is worth paying a little more if you can’t personally inspect the item. Too many web sites are counterfeit copies, bulk defect returns or stolen items. I want defect return and warranty exchange coverage on things like my brain.

I did something similar for “online degrees”. Now every ad that makes it through the blockers is for a university I’ve never heard of.

The answer: set your browser to erase all cookies upon program exit. Yeah, you have to re-login to some sites next time, but it’s worth it.

Oh, your browser doesn’t let you set that automatically to delete cookies? Demand that from them as a feature. If they refuse, they’re just in bed with the spyware industrial complex.

And I have to admire Ralph over the past few days: when he didn’t have anything to say, he didn’t say it. Wish I knew more people like that…
