I got a porn e-mail that I didn’t recognize as such. I opened it, saw what it was and deleted it. Within 6 hours, I received 10 more. For the next year and a half, I got 10 to 30 porn e-mails per day. As I deleted them without opening them, they subsided; but all it took was to accidentally click on one and it started all over again. Just as I went a month without receiving any, someone hijacked my address, and I had to close the account.
Sigh.
I hope all of you survive this modern crap and are not diminished by it. Harm can come from seemingly nowhere these days.
I was the target of a gift card scammer today! Foiled him! They got my email address from the muskie club website and pretended to be the president of the club. They wanted me to send them a photo of the gift card numbers to "donate to the Veterans Hospice and Palliative Care group. Scum.
Muskie club? I’m assuming you don’t mean Jimmy Carter’s Secretary of State? That can’t be a very big club! But seriously, clever and funny strips about email scammers.
