I’m surprised Sophie actually chews on that rawhide. We used to buy what Hubby calls “Dog Logs” for our two dogs. When the old one died, the younger one turned up his nose that the rawhide. Apparently they were each eating the bones to keep the other from getting it.

It’s not “soaking”, it’s marinating. But, when you get caught, you’re still cooked.

If you insist on leaving the lid and the seat up, you are asking for trouble.

My dog Carmy turns up her nose at rawhide bones but looks foreword to her daily bully stick

Not her fault the toilet’s the best thing she has access to (and can readily reach) so to do any soaking of such objects.

Toilets have lids for a reason. There is no reason to leave the lid up when no one is using it.

Our dogs wait until the other one has softened up a rawhide toy then go over and steal it. This continues back and forth for quite awhile.

They’ll most likely throw it out and get you a new one, Sophie.
