What does the Nobel Prize Committee mean by Mr. Pauling having received two UNshared prizes?

According to this article, that claim about the nuclear missile code is disputed.

The computer controls that RBIoN is referring to is the “football” (the suitcase kept by the President at all times in case he needs to approve a nuclear strike).

Only two people knew the password and they wanted to make sure they did not forget it.

Well at least the password was not “password”.

Linus Pauling claimed that high doses of vitamin C could cure cancer. He died of cancer.

Did Pauling say “It’s mine mine all mine!” after receiving those two prizes?

I’m guessing Pauling created something to kill people more effectively.

Among other accomplishments Pauling worked hammer and tongs to elucidate the structure of DNA; if successful that would have resulted in a third Nobel. Sadly, he was wrong in his conclusions and the laurels went to Watson and Crick. Eventually, after some dispute, Pauling acknowledged his error characterizing it as a “dumb mistake”. If I remember rightly, X-ray diffraction was the principal methodology used as the research tool for DNA structural determination.

How do they know what the password was? I wouldn’t think that it’s subject to the Freedom of Information Act.
