When their descendants removed and killed the Cherokee, their were more Christian Cherokee than practicing Christians in the Congress.

The Puritans were arguably (incessantly arguably) not exactly Christians according to most Christians at the time. That’s why they were hunting for some other place to live, where they could participate fully in their very, um, “puritan” behaviors.

There is no place in the 21st century for such destructive influences.

This is getting to be generic with Mr. Ramirez: “Let’s see, this is for Friday. Time to do another guns and Christians cartoon. So, one from column G and one from column C….. “

not everyone fits into your pre-judged opinion, I am a “liberal”, I attend Mass at least once a week(sometimes more), very involved in my parish. I don’t want all guns outlawed, only the ones that will kill dozens of people in less than a moment. Maybe if you would practice what you are preaching, you may find out that what your leader is preaching to his rallies is "bu11$hit!

And yet we have more guns than people in the U.S. and some intersections have a church on almost every corner. Go figure.

    What complete and utter GARBAGE.

Tell us, Ramirez, in your line of work everything is supposed to represent SOMETHING, yes? The Pilgrims represent the poor, marginalized White Christian Culture of America, correct?

So who the hell is the lawyer with the C&D supposed to be?

The American government? You mean the one run by a false Evangelical narcissist?

The US Senate? The one run by a backwards, corrupt Senator from a misguided and misled state?

The US Court system? The one packed with conservative hate mongers?

The US House of Representatives? The one that can’t even manage to impeach the most impeachable, corrupt president in history?

The main stream media? Those whores who will sell out to anyone with a wheel barrow full of Benjamin Franklins?

Social media? Those fools and whisperers who will say anything and everything, just to get a reaction?

Ramirez, respectfully, you are the problem. You create artificial problems spreading hate and divisiveness. You should be ashamed.

Very ironic considering the Pilgrims had no religious tolerance and were perfectly willing to kill any indigenous person that got in there way. Of course, it’s not ironic if Ramirez is being honest and recognizing the conservatives that want enforced fake Christianity and to kill anyone who gets in their way or has some resource they want.

I take it this is a slam against the Left as both anti-God and anti-Gun. So what Mr. Ramirez is saying is that the current Evangelical Christianity is the only “correct” Christianity and should be enforced at gunpoint. Perhaps we should have a new Inquisition to sort all this out. It worked so well for the Spanish. /s

That could have saved the lives of thousands of native Americans. Of course, if that document also included “You must wash your hands after going to the bathroom and generally try to sustain good hygiene” then millions of Native Americans wouldn’t have died of diseases such as smallpox.

EXCUSE ME FOR INJECTING SOME FACTS HERE

The Pilgrims of 1620 were NOT Puritans. Look it up! Both groups disliked each other.

The Pilgrims entered into an alliance with a local tribe against other tribes. They did this because they really needed help, and could offer their experience with guns.

    Now read this:

Arthur Peach, Thomas Jackson, Richard Stinnings and Daniel Cross were convicted of murdering an Indian named Penowanyanquis in 1638: the motive was robbery. Daniel Cross escaped custody, but the others were executed by hanging. The triple-hanging sent a strong message that Plymouth Colony would treat the murder of Native Americans equally.

    http://mayflowerhistory.com/crime

What would the Indian have had worth stealing? Furs, most likely. I can guess that because I read Americana: A 400 year History of American Capitalism by Bhu Srinivasan. Those pilgrims were too poor to be able to buy passage on a ship (actually 2 ships). Instead, they signed an agreement with a bunch of folks who bankrolled the colony. It quickly became apparent that the colony was not going to pay for itself right away. There would be no cash crop like Virginia tobacco. The investors despaired, but Governor Bradford and a couple of others assumed the debt for the colony. They eventually paid off the debt. By trading with the Indians for furs, beaver fur in particular.

So it would not be surprising if the officials of the colony came down very hard on someone who killed an essential trading partner.
