Last night the t-storm had the whole house shaking, and today there might be some more limbs falling off the ancient white pine in the front yard. Happy Thanksgiving!

If it is dangerous to drive, don’t the family can get together for a safe and healthy Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Festivus or whatever.

On the bright side, that turkey doesn’t appear to be too dry.

We’re sure lucky there’s no climate change. All praise Herr Weasel for forbidding it.

That Xmas is near the Winter solstice in the northern hemisphere is pretty much proof that Christianity arose somewhere south of “where northern hemisphere winter matters a lot”. And then we decided to put our harvest festival so late because it was good for Xmas sales (yes, look it up, that was at least one of the criteria).

The Aussies do it better: They get to celebrate the Christmas season near the Summer solstice!
