Probably already addressed, but why did McCay draw the balloons before filling in the text? The most dazzling strip in the history of comics, IMHO. I think there was a movie? Anyone seen it?
You know, I got a VHS copy of it years ago, watched it, but was turned off by the 1980’s style animation. It gets a good review on IMDB though. It’s now on Youtube for free, check it out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRs4Y3Kzdt0
