Is there an actual point to this cartoon that most intelligent people are missing? Or is there a possibility of the Republican McMafia making money from the electric truck? It would seem to fly in the face of the current industrial and energy policies of the Weasel. Seems like another ill-conceived distraction.
Elon said when they hit the door of the truck with a sledgehammer that it shattered the bottom of the windows so they broke when they threw the iron balls. Elon said, “Next time we throw the iron balls and then hit with the sledgehammers.”
Payne’s got to be feeling a little better, now that there’s a (toy) vehicle in the ‘toon. And I kind of agree with his implied criticism of the looks of that pickup. I did enjoy the artists’ rendering of how the tailgate extends to two or three times its height so as to become a built-in ramp for the dune-buggy that they say it can carry. Of course, with his interest in vehicles, he was bound to be all over this one, so I’m not going to blame him for car-tooning about something that’s not political. This time.
Just in passing, the pinewood derby has no national rules, but all the derbies I’m aware of require that the racer be made from the official pine block, have maximum dimensions for width and length, and weigh no more than (usually) 5 oz.

The cartoonist probably doesn’t want to talk about the latest turd in the Presidential punch bowl.

Is Payne trying to show that he has not faded away into, well deserved, oblivion?
