    looks a little familiar. nemo in slumberland also went to mars in a balloon. I looked at the dates and it seems like nemo was a couple years after this cartoon

    On some of these, it almost seems a shame to zoom in to read the text. It’s generally a bit of a letdown after looking at the great artwork.

    The style and the Philadelphia address nearly make me believe that the verses are by Neill’s future collaborator, Ruth Plumly Thompson. They much resemble her “Supposyville” verses.
