Maresca’s comment that elopement gags “always [made] use of tall panels”, was surprising but completely understandable to me. Visual presentations of elopement always seem to involve ladders to upper floors. The whole thing got me thinking, and wondering if there was a comic strip devoted to “tall tales” that always presented the stories in tall panels.
