I had a snowball fight with my 10-year-old grandson and my 4-year-old granddaughter last night. Granted, we went easy on my granddaughter, but it was great fun. No tears and no complaining.

When my son, (an only) and his best friend would get into a fight, one would come sit in the recliner and say how angry he is. I never say anything. After a while the other one would come and and sit in the same recliner and act all huffy. Since I never say anything, they soon get up and go back to playing.
All the comments today bring back so many memories. My older brother loved to tease me and I remember the “Mom, he’s looking at me” bit so well. Fortunately, once we no longer lived in the same house, we got along much better and were very supportive of one another.

Oh my gosh, my mom would say this to us as kids ALLLL the time and the sad thing was, she was always right!! Now I say it to MY kids!! haha!

Snowball fights were fun and no one actually got hurt if there was no ice in it. Only feelings and ego got hurt. Big deal.
