Once again, I wish the idiots in Congress, both parties, had asked the tobacco execs, “Do you smoke? Why not? At what age will you recommend your children to start smoking? Why not? You said it’s perfectly safe.”

No. The answer is always no.

The last line is certainly appropriate now.

Corporations are ‘people’ for political purposes, except that no person is individually responsible for the decisions made by the corporation. Regulations are too complicated and expensive, reducing profits, so if you get sick from toxic air and water, it’s your fault for being too poor to move. And by the way, too bad health care is too expensive but y’know free market and all.

so in other words high executive pay is just buying silence, which explains why failure is no reason to withhold massive bonuses!

Those Executives could give the average Tyrant lessons in cruelty and heartlessness.
