I bet step-grandma Kim knows the kids’ names and birthdays.

My wife is an illustrator, painter and college art professor and we have been known to drive two and half hours to babysit for the day. On one visit, Grandma went in first while I got the suitcases. Two year old Grandson greeted her with “Grandma!! Where’s Grandpa?” Best ever.

I’ve been waiting for these people to re-surface.

Well at least Grandma doesn’t have the blue white hair.

Wow, J.J. is working in a two-dimensional pallette now? Looking very Megan Rapinoe.

The artwork is probably a piece of fruit duct taped to the canvas. Or has that moment passed?

It’s funny – I’ve been reading Doonesbury since the 70s, I never liked the JJ character.

I’m not sure that contemporary artists still use oil and canvas!

When I think of the state of art/it damn near breaks my heart/ but I save my invective/and regain my perspective/ since the country is falling apart.

I like that Trudeau added some realistic weight gain to JJ. I just saw a photo of Olivias Newton John and John Travolta “proudly” wearing their Sandy and Danny costumes from Grease, everyone pretending that the costumes weren’t several sizes larger. Not that it matters that aging stars gain weight, only that the writer and quoted people were crowing about them wearing the “original” costumes.

Maybe she should send Zeke.

In fairness to JJ, 2016 sounds about right for the last time the kids appeared.

She still doesn’t know how to hold a brush. Probably altering someone else’s painting

Heh. As a grandad, been there done that. Hard when you live 2000 miles away….

Considering how “present” she was for Alex’s childhood, is anyone truly expecting her to be aware of her grandchildren’s lives?
