Whistle blowers are protected by law. It is illegal to reveal who they are.

It is illegal to reveal the identity of whistleblowers. The ONLY reason for revealing his/her identity would be to intimidate witnesses and future whistleblowers. The whistleblower’s lawyer has already said they would be willing to tell everything they know, under oath, in writing without revealing their identity. If that’s not good enough for the GOPers, that’s because they have no interest in knowing what he/she has to say, only in trying to destroy them.

The only way to stop government corruption (at any level) is to allow whistle-blowers to be anonymous and to remain anonymous.

Ford had to relocate due to death threats after the Kavanaugh hearings. The price of being openly opposed to this cult is harassment and substantial risk of harm. Gorrell and the other Trump Disciples want to know the identity of the whistle blower so that they might die under tragic and mysterious circumstances, like in Putin’s Russia.

The despicable behavior of Repubs didn’t start with Trump and his cabal. Remember when the Bush 43 administration outed Valarie Plame as a CIA operative because her husband Joseph Wilson wrote an op-ed stating that Bush’s claims about Iraq getting uranium from Niger were false. How many people died (e.g. covert contacts) because of revealing her identity will never be known.

Now Gorrell, Trump and the Repubs want the whistle blower to be harassed and threatened because they don’t want Trump’s crimes (and Repub complicity) to be revealed.

Republikans refuse to understand that the whistleblower is NOT providing evidence — he/she is like the person who calls the anonymous police tip-line. Not giving evidence, just giving the investigative authorities a heads-up that something is hinky and acts as a place from which to start an investigation. NOTHING the whistleblower/tipline-caller states is taken as evidence, unless they are willing to come forward and forfeit their anonymity. All evidence is independently collected by the police/FBI/congressional investigators.

Everything the “whistle blower” presented to investigate, has been confirmed now as true, plus other factors. Nothing Bonespurs has said in his defense has been proven true, except his own statements proving the charges are true.
