That’s correct Lisa, Trump and his cronies are above law and all of their misdeeds, crimes, etc., should be ignored. (republican logic)

The Republicans have been acting more like clowns than elephants lately. Not normal clowns, but like the clown from ‘it’.

    That’s what should be happening.

Lying Republicans put themselves above the law and mock everyone who follows the law.

Yet another case of Freudian slip while ‘tooning? I do think she’s being prophetic though: That work-weary donkey is very likely to end up hauling a bunch of GOP flunkies off to jail while in the course of getting unimpeachable (hah!) evidence of il Douche’s crimes.

Isn’t something fundamentally wrong if an incompetent person cannot be easily removed from a position of authority in the US government? This is not a monarchy or a family-owned business. This is a constitutional democratic republic with an obligation to We the People, not to political parties or to mutually exclusive minority political ideologies.

I’m tired of a government that has the world’s most expensive healthcare, dilapidated infrastructure, is doing nothing to deter climate change, has not regulated fair compensation for productivity, and has not resolved many other urgent issues because supposedly adult men and women cannot work for We the People but take sides in mutually exclusive political ideologies that serve only a portion of the population. Partisanship in a two-party system seems to be self-destructive. How far are we going to go before we end the madness?

It is ok as far as Lisa is concerned that Mitch McConnell force the Senate to swallow Kavanaugh confirmation but Schiff is a carney barker?

    Garbage.

….? Would you be willing to suspend the Constitution, and become an authoritarian government if your side could have power for ever?

… I am seeing in real time, the republicans taking these steps…

… Our Constitution is a weak document that relies on the will of the people to survive… If one half say no, its no for everyone, and it collapses…

…Defend the Constitution, and all survive, defend a party and neither the party or the Constitution will make it…

I have to wonder how many Republicans are PUBLICLY saying “It’s a witch hunt, it’s fake, trump did nothing wrong”, while PRIVATELY saying "Oh Crap… we are in SO MUCH TROUBLE from trump’s CRIMES!!! Do I stick with him, and risk going down in flames when he’s convicted, or do I bail out to “Spend More Time With my Family”???

I do hope the Trump party will change their mascot. Elephants are the opposite of his party. I can’t think of any nonhuman animal that has Trump party characteristics.

Someone needs to print up handy cards with the Watergate hearings summary so we can check off the same progress in this one. With luck it will have a better outcome this time that Nixon escaping any consequences and denying the rest of his life he did anything significantly wrong. The sad thing is Trump alone could be purged from his office easily, but this time again he has people apparently ready to fall on their swords for him. Let’s see if they really do, I would enjoy it.

Some day (assuming climate change doesn’t lead to a collapse of civilization) some historian is going to have the thankless job of detailing and then trying to explain the bizarre career of Donald Trump. Can we even remember the beginning of this insane presidency? Or the campaign? Anybody remember Michael Flynn? Anybody remember the Access Hollywood tapes? Anyone remember when Trump ridiculed a reporter with a disability? Or birtherism? Or the Central Park Five? Or Stormy Daniels and the hush money? Or the Muslim Ban? Or the love letters from Kim Jong Un? Or the private meeting with Putin and Trump’s defense of Putin? This is not a presidency, it’s a bad dream. But will we wake up?

This reminds me of something Mark Twain noted. As he finally noted, Mankind was the lowest form of animal, but then he qualified it by saying he was the SECOND lowest form, only the Frenchman being the lowest. Well, now we can say that mankind is the third lowest, the Frenchman is the second lowest (yeah, yeah, don’t bellyache and tell me I am non-PC – I am just paraphrasing Mark Twain) AND the Republican Party of the USA being the lowest form of animal. Oh Wait!!!! Mankind is the fourth, Frenchman the third and etc – Trump is the worst form of animal.

Wow for once I agree with Lisa. There are so many corrupt republicans protecting a lawless president and today while Yavonovitch was testifying trump actually sent a threatening tweet. He was witness tampering which likely will result on another impeachment charge being brought against him. We also saw Roger Stone found guilty on all counts now facing up to 50 years in prison. At 67 yo that’s a life sentence
