I scoffed for years that superman /supergirl could just take off their glasses and no one would clue in that it was actually Clark and Kara, up until I started wearing contacts. People who had known me for years as a glasses wearing individual walked right by me and didn’t recognize me (and they weren’t actively trying to avoid me) . Couldn’t get away with it for decades but in the short term it has some validity I think.

Now that Superman’s secret is out, he’s gonna have to switch to dark sunglasses. Maybe even the Groucho glasses.
