I remember a girl in college (I was graduated in 1965) who got her hair cut and styled in a way that I thought looked less attractive than the way she had done it before. Well, she asked me “how do you like it?” I put on my biggest smile and said in an enthusiastic tone of voice “not bad!” The words were honest, but my tone was deceptive! Anyway, she smiled broadly.

Years ago I read in “Readers Digest” about a minister who was always being called in to look at new babies, and expected to coo over them. When a baby looked less than average, he always had a go-to comment: “My, that IS a baby!” Once he accidentally said, “My, is that a baby?”

It has been raining a little here but mostly wind.

I’m one of those strange people that never puts my hood up to prevent my hair getting wet. I don’t use an umbrella either. It feels lovely on the skin and it’s supposed to be good for hair too.

I will let you know where my blood donation gets dispatched to if you would like to know. Haven’t found out yet.
