Go find a key and attach it to the string.

Then wait for a violent thunderstorm………….,

Ask Charlie Brown. Oh, wait. That’s what a kite isn’t supposed to do.

It will fly after paper or plastic is invented.

I am like a kite. Among the things I cannot do is fly.

OK, well that design didn’t work. But keep at it and don’t get discouraged. Ya might wanna to study the birds – try some other materials – experiment with some different shapes and sizes… Perseverance! Alternatively, figure out just what useful purpose the thing you already have made can be used for. Boat anchor? Door stop? Tie together another one or two and invent a bolo for dinosaurs? Endless possibilities just waiting to be found!

Perhaps he’ll write a bad check on it.

At least a square stone can be turned, with a LiTtLe effort.
