Aaaaaannnd away we go !  The more I referred back to the strip yesterday the more I was getting the impression that Splitsville was not aware he was being purloined. What I can’t figure is why he would be out in such weather.

I guess this qualifies Split Face into the Tracyville’s Haul of Fame!

It was both, a delivery and an escape! I guess a new saga begins?

Now we have a closer look at the top of Splitface’s head, and we can confirm he no longer has the open wound that gave him the “Splitface” name. It does look like he has a scar on the top of his head, where he had surgery.

The left side of the mannequin’s face doesn’t look like it’s melting – they’re gonna find out quick!

Holy crap Batman! I was just reading Splitface’s biography on Fandom. Gory as hell! Must’ve been before the comic codes were instituted. I’m not seeing that kind of routine mutilation in the new strips. Lots of death, sure, but not as wholesale as it was in Splitface’s origin story. Or as gruesome. BRING BACK THE GOOD OL DAYS!

OK, some body settle this. Is this guy’s name Split face or Half and Half? I kinda think it’s H&H.

Clybourne must be a Three Stooges fan. He used to have a Moe Howard hairstyle, but now he switched to a Larry Fine style.

Well, when this character originated back in the 60’s he was Haf-n-Haf, a Batman Two Face duplicate. Now, maybe to try and convince us he’s new, the “writers” changed his name to Splitface, who was a forties movie character played by film tough guy Mike Mazurki. Like everything else in the recent adventures in this strip, history keeps repeating itself, and old, old, old characters are regurgitated. Lack of imagination perhaps, or laziness?

Interesting, indeed.

It looks like the one they left behind is a true half and half splitface …

Okay, call me insensitive to criminally insane disfigured escapees from psychiatric asylums.

Seriously, how can Wertham Woods maintain its license with such porous-to-nonexistent security?!

Youd think with a certified loon like tulza who has assaulted doctors in the asylum before, that he’d have an armed guard nearby at all times.
