Christmas spirit left when the children and the grandchildren are so far away. We used to try to visit, but could not go to everyone’s house during the holiday, and we always seem to hear about it, from the ones we did not go to. So, now my wife and I ‘run away’ for Christmas. Last year it was Branson, MO; this year it will be Las Vegas. This way, they are all equally pissed/mad at us, but no jealousy among them. It has been a longer while since ANY of them have come to visit us. They do not seem to like the FACT that the road runs both ways.
