I assume you’ve been taking leftovers from Kablooie Cafe seeing that your fridge is empty. Be thankful for your job at a cafe where you can take home leftovers. You wear a uniform everyday to work which keeps your clothes clean, not requiring laundry. Again, be thankful for your job. Your boss invited you to her Thanksgiving dinner. Be grateful for an opportunity to eat and be with other people. Best of all, you will be sent home with leftovers from the DeGroots. So, go.

it’s hard sometimes to feel thankful if a lot of you’re life is “I” centered…if she spreads herself out to her friend she may find a reason “we” are thankful and it will feel better.

We all called this story arc at the start. I wonder if the artist is going to throw us for a loop? She has two options on the table, but perhaps her exiting the dorm she will run into someone that will change her life? Stay tuned for Saturday’s comic.

It’s sad she had to sell her expensive Souffle lingerie, but I bet none of it fit her at her current weight. So there’s that. I wonder if she could ask the proprietress of Souffle if she (Tiff) could be a plus-size model for the line? Or if proprietress could put her in touch with agents to be a plus-size model? It grinds me that Tiff isn’t pursuing any of her high school dreams at all! And at the very least, if she wants her own nail empire, she could be taking some cosmetology course (she could probably sleep through it, she already knows so much), get that certification, and take business courses on line. I know someone who got her business degree on line and only showed up on campus across the state three times. And to walk at graduation.

Wow! Tiffany NEEDS to visit some True, Blue Friends, STAT!

Or quickly encounter someone much WORSE off than She is right now. Someone SHE can help.

OR, as Cstimpy above just said, maybe Tiff SHOULD go and have dinner with Tom and Ann. Then move back home. Yeah, I know the argument: “Ann will slowly grind Tiff down, if she did that.” People, Ann is doing THAT, NOW. Tiff Moving back home would make little difference. Plus moving home. save Tiffany food and lodging money. And she would STILL have Bets to help her with her studies. And suddenly moving back home, would catch Ann off guard.

One more very important thing. Tiffany moving back home INCREASES the chance that Les will drop by to “visit.” Les hates Ann. Tom May not know about Les. Explanations would be in order. It’s a opening salvo that can taken advantage of in Tiffany’s favor.

    “Friends close. Enemies CLOSER.”

    Now, what will tomorrow bring?

But at any rate, tiffany you need to swallow your pride and to see your family. You only get one and i’m sure your dad would love to spend time with you. Or with the degroots.Don’t spend thanksgiving feeling sorry for yourself. That’s way out of character for you.

Whoa….Greg has really crossed the line. He is relentless in his abuse of Tiffany. He’s like a sadistic, psychological Jack the Ripper, tearing into her. He’s behaving like a pimp, slapping the girls around (in a manner of speaking), withholding their money (Tom does that job for him), and fawning over a new plaything (enter Ann). This strip would make an interesting research project for an advanced Psych. class. Forget Tom, check out the artist’s track record.

Yes you do Tiffany. There is always something to be thankful for. You’re pretty, somewhat bright, you have goals, just kind of cloudy now how things are going to work out. Even staying home by yourself is better than going out with your dad and have to watch ann slime all over him and gloat. Don’t give her the satisfaction of hurting you and watching your lameass dad make a fool of himself. Have more pride in yourself.

Many, many people have family who are abusive, neglectful or just don’t care. It is sad Tiffany’s father doesn’t seem to care about her. But she has many friends who do care. As adults we need to find people who love and support us and spend time with them. Don’t ever spend time with unloving people just because they are “family”.

Tiffany has been living the high life and was known to be very self absorbed. I hate to say it but Ann Awful is making Tiff grow up and become an independent adult. She is strong woman and will do fine, she just has to keep her head above water, she already has friends who will support her decisions and that is what is going to help her through this. It’s gonna hurt, but that is a part of life. She will make the right decisions.

Tiff… HANG IN THERE! Even at the “lowest low,” there is still hope. You’re smart enough to figure out a solution. And you know you want control of your life. Don’t move back home with Dad and Ann, as you’ll never get that level of control of your life. Do what you must to maintain that independence. It may be humiliating… not what you’re used to… but if you work hard (both at your studies and making money), you will get there. Unfortunately, part of that might mean having to “let go…” let go of Dad, that is… You have to evaluate the situation and see if there’s any hope at keeping a relationship with your Dad alive, now that Ann has him in her clutches…. or whether it’s time to “let him go…” and move on with your life. Have the courage to make that decision. Have the courage to move on. It will get better.

Volunteer gigs (like the one Bernie and Des could still take her for) usually pay volunteers with a meal. They keep you occupied but not too overwhelmed, and they look nice on a resume too. And it feels almost like socializing, but with much less effort to belong.

I could name a lot more than Tiffany if I wanted to count all the things that are wrong with my life, but I prefer to focus on the good things that I am thankful for, such as the fact that I have a roof over my head (although, like Tiffany, I probably can’t afford to keep it), I have enough (too much?) to eat, I have friends and, in spite of a number of problems, such as gout, epilepsi and whiplash, I am in generally good health. I am also thankful to God for His creation and His redemption, among other things. All in all, I have much more to be thankful for than to complain about. I hope Tiffany realizes that that applies to her as well.

Luannverse COME TO THE DAMN RESCUE PLEASE!!!! It is getting hard for us who care about this strip to see this character go through so much. She has grown a lot, and is no longer a selfish little girl anymore, although a little bit of saucy old Tiff, within her new reality would be nice. I hope that day is coming SOON. She has three alternatives, going home (ugh), going to the De Groots (nicer people you can’t meet), Al and Irma (I can’t remember their last names, but wonderful people too, sweetness and a nice, caring Wiseguy, how can you beat that), or going with Dez and Bernice and serving dinner to some truly lonely seniors. Or another alternative entirely, but those scare me, and others so don’t even think about going there. If you go too dark with Tiffany, your readership will revolt and many will leave.

Thanksgiving continues in Luann’s world, cool. We should see a phone call/ knock at the door checking to see if she wants to come over, the question is which one; romance (Les/Irma’s group), future friend (Luann and the Degroot side), or people worse off than you (sorry, no L in Bernice/Dez). It’ll set Tiffany’s future for the next six months + is my estimate.

Tbh, I don’t know how much of this storyline that I can take.I know how Tiff is feeling. I was unemployed for 6 months, about to lose my place, had to keep bumming money from my sister so I could go to interviews, my power kept getting turned off, my water got turned off. No one visiting me, I was rock bottom until I got an inheritance check from my mom passing away but it went all to my late rent..

I know Tiff is just part of a comic strip but there are a lot of young people in her situation..

A lot of folks asking Mr Evans to kill off Ann, but the strip needs a villain. Tif was a mean person but has changed, Dirk settled down, TJ hasn’t had a scam in awhile, Les likes kittens: Ann is the only one left. And the fact that so many people react so strongly to her character means Mr Evans is doing a good job ( in my not at all humble opinion).

But still! Even now, one can envision GnK developing situations to put Tiff in more desperate situations.

I don’t know…as a cook, i’m not knocked out by the idea of showing up on the degrgroots doorstep unannounced, I plan for a certain number of people for dinner parties. I also can’t blame Tiff for being warry of running to Luann for support given their history and Luanns dubious maturity level. Plus, the Degroots are her employer. Showing up, unannounced, on their doorstep in tears, not a great impression. Could help, but could make a bad situation worse.
