What will it take to get this mentally ill man some help? Must he, as a comment on Ted Rall had it, walk out barefoot in his pyjamas and hail a cab for his boyhood home?
Scrap the investigation into impeachment, just use Bonespurs’ best buddies, and organizational prerogative, six feet of chain, a yard of hardened concrete, and 30 feet of water.
The question shouldn’t be whether Trump should or not host the G7 in Doral. The question should be whether the USA should be banned from the G7 for currently being the most dangerous and disruptive country on the planet with Trump at the helm.
Things you find by accident. My wife was relaying Napolitano’s opinion that the G7 at Doral directly violates the Emoluments Clause because it comes from foreign countries and that the Emoluments Clause only limits foreign monies (that a governors convention at Doral would be hunky dory)
So I whipped out my ACLU pocket constitution this morning and went looking.
Turns out that1) The capital E Emoluments Clause is in Article 1 and essentially applies to anyone in government. It does specifically pertain to foreign monies.
2) I started reading in Section 2 (the executive branch). Turns out there’s a second emoluments clause when talking about the president’s salary – saying that the salary can’t be changed during his term and that he can’t receive emoluments “from the United States or any of them”
So a governors convention would also be impeachable. Of course so is his entire lease on the DC hotel, Barr’s reported holiday party, the VP’s trip to Ireland, and the Air Force’s trips to Scotland.

Trump doesn’t believe in “checks” and “balances”. He won’t write a check unless he’s forced to and he prefers to be as unbalanced as humanly possible.

Republicans arrogantly put themselves above the law as they hold everyone else to the letter of the law.
They worship their own materialistic insanity over the lives of other humans.

Trump has now backed down, spewing sour grapes. I guess Putin didn’t want to stay there.
