Just think Calvin you are the first of many that will follow you into the world of The Upside Down. To get out you will have to think hard and make your nose bleed.

Here’s the difference, Calvin: Cirrus clouds, they’re real.

Remember that cartoon where the mice nailed all the furniture to the ceiling and convinced the cat he was in a position like Calvin?

Living in a comic strip with speech balloons must be interesting. Luckily Calvin is still speaking right side up, which will help him communicate with others. It’s kind of tricky, because from his new perspective he has to speak upside down.

For a different example of upside-down comic characters, GoComics has a truly incredible Sunday strip from the early 1900s:

Maybe Calvin was the inspiration to Lionel Richie’s song: “Dancing on the Ceiling.”

Calvin, you reversed polarity? To recognise that, you must be reading something besides comic books!

Heh, isn’t cirrus clouds kind of an advanced topic for first grade? Now if it were cumulonimbus clouds, then Calvin might be interested!

Don’t go outside in your current state Calvin – you might get to meet a Cirrus cloud. On second thought, a long walk outside might do you good.
