The way this is going in D.C., the process is more like panel three, where Buttercup isn’t even in the picture. Lots of mention but nothing absolute – yet.

Impeachment may happen. There is enough votes for it in the House and, more importantly, enough public sentiment for it among the people.

Conviction is unlikely. The Republicans in the Senate don’t care what the people want or even what is in the Constitution. Loyalty to Trump supersedes all else.

Trump will emerge victorious and more empowered than ever. Not only will he be able to get away with criminal activity with the consent of the Senate, he will be unstoppable. In that case, FOUR MORE YEARS and the establishment of the Trump dynasty.

People don’t care what crimes Trump commits. As long as they are doing well, they’ll vote him back in.

I’m white, I’m male, I am heterosexual, I’m Christian. I am everything Trump wants America to be. He protects me from Mexicans, Muslims, LGBT and me-too women. Unfortunately for Trump, I am not afraid of Mexicans, Muslims, LGBT and me-too women so I don’t need his protection.

In fact, my version of Christianity is that Mexicans, Muslims, LGBT and me-too women are my neighbors. I’ve never been able to subscribe to the sentiment, “I love my neighbors; it’s those other people I can’t stand.”

Quite frankly, I’m beginning to wonder if there will be an election in 2020. After all, why go through all that bother when it’s clear that Trump believes he has the “mandate” of the people. And the Senate would likely endorse the idea.

A secret ballot in the senate would do it.

Then we’ll have Pence who’s worse… some ways: He wants to remake the US as a theocracy. And he’s even worse than Hair Furor about dismantling every good and helpful thing the Feds have ever done… because he actually believes (he doesn’t much “think”) that’s best. Plus he’s better looking (I think), much better spoken, so seems quite re-electable, and if he takes the office now, he can run in 2020 and in 2024. On the other hand, he’s probably much tainted by all the illegality now going on, and might find himself indicted as part of the impeachment process, or shortly after. One may hope.
