If you want to know what happened, just listen to the Rump and his so called lawyer speak on television. If you can’t spot the crimes, then you are not paying attention.
It is now becoming apparent that the House will be able to proceed without the whistle blower’s testimony, and so, probably without secrecy to protect that person’s identity. Which secrecy is made necessary by the fact that the person occupying the White House has effectively put a price on his head. Not that I expect Gorrell to either understand or care.
Republicans were in there as well, and it should be noted that at this stage of the inquiry, it’s equivalent to a grand jury review, NOT open to the public forum until there is an indictment, read impeachment.
Keeping the testimony confidential — for now — prevents the witnesses from coordinating with each other in large part.
Of course, for Trump Disciples like Gorrell, whatever Democrats do is wrong — and when the testimony does become public, Gorrell and the other Trump Disciples will wish it had remained secret.
.
You can bet that NONE of it is favorable to Trump.
You know they are on shaky grounds when they criticize the process rather than the substance. But we also know that the process — which is all according to the book — is in place to protect the witnesses which the president insists on threatening.
Because.. as best as they can.. they need to keep what they learn out of Barr’s and the White House reach until all the facts are assembled. With the power of Barr.. the White House.. and Fox News they have an uncanny ability to spin truth into fallacy.
Those crying “Closed doors” are publicly stating they don’t understand the law, or what is occurring. Investigations are not public. This is not the trial phase. The gathering of evidence is not shared with the subject, or friends of the subject. The Nunes effect is a real thing.

Each one of your impeachment cartoons is more pathetic than the last. I dunno but for me closed door hearings means behind doors, not with the lights turned off. Draw a door (or copy/paste one from google images)
We can’t all be president transparency and openly call for China to investigate a political rival on television.
as many have already pointed out the reason for closed door hearings is because Trump has been tampering with the witnesses. The open hearings have been a complete waste of time, with the witnesses refusing to cooperate and answer even the simplest question, while the GOP spends their time whining about how unfair it is for a president to be held accountable.
The UK passed sentence on Boris in TWO weeks …..the US is pathetic, slow, and dragging their feet……they’re all so worried about their political careers….
Bob – you are really going to love the information and the response when these witness appear in open, televised hearings. I just hope the committees have the questioning done by staff attorneys and not the congress people who like to pontificate rather than gather information.

I think that Gorrell believes that, no matter how evil Trump is, the Democrats are much worse.

The Dems will investigate until they find something – ANYTHING. They just need a crime – “ANY crime” they plead.

When President Clinton’s husband was impeached to Republicans made sure due processed was followed. Too bad the courtesy wasn’t reciprocated

Trump was lucky it was behind closed doors, the public should be made aware of his constant crimes.

If it weren’t for Trump threatening the witnesses, you might get a better result, but you can’t trust Trump or his henchmen.

Again, Gorrell either does not know the “Process” in Congress or he chooses to ignore it — to shill for the Liar-in-Chief!
