It’s looking like vaping just kills you quicker. Get it done and over with. Why people think putting all that stuff into your delicate lungs is okay is beyond me.

Smoking is one of the most difficult addictions to break away from… Even more so, because it is the hand to mouth pleasure sensation of the brain’s chemistry… If smoking is used as a diet Aid, it is a double addiction… I Oughta Know… I quit, oh, probably 20 times before I finally managed to break that double addiction 20 years ago… wow… has it been that long?…yep… what do I remember about trying to quit? That I was a very unhappy camper for the first 2 years before it finally stopped bugging me constantly…. anyone who thinks that vaping is going to help them quit… probably not going to happen that way … I just feel sorry for anyone who’s trying to quit nowadays. If you are trying to quit,… hang in there… It will get better and it will get easier ….every day.. a little easier.

Nicotine is a poison which happens to be highly addictive, because it approximates an important neurotransmitter in the brain, meaning it will lock onto the appropriate nerve endings (“receptors”) just like the normal neurotransmitter and stimulate them, but will not detach as easily. (These locations are known, in fact, as nicotinic receptors.)

That means nicotine in ANY form is highly addictive. Equally, it is not beneficial or safe in any form. Vaping removes some of the content of burning leaves – notably tar – but the essential poison remains. At the very least, it will rot your lungs – literally. And the additives put in are entirely unregulated and can be even worse poisons in the interest of layering a pleasant smell on top.

Furthermore, there is a phenomenon that was first observed with seat belts – people who think they are safer will take more dangerous actions. People may vape MORE than they smoked, and in less appropriate places. (I saw one idiot who was vaping on a subway train, inflicting the poison on everyone around him, despite requests to stop.)

I am sorry for those suffering from this addiction, but you should do anything you can to cease nicotine entirely – not substitute one danger for another.

Most addictive of drugs is nicotine, which; if not for tobacco, when the English invaders found no gold, they never would have settled in North America. Long, long, association there.

With Trump’s EPA, breathing the air outside will be just as dangerous as vaping.

So far, there’s almost no evidence that vaping is healthier. Particularly as it’s actually practiced. The latest thing I saw was a study in mice showing that vaping nicotine increased the risk of cancer. There is starting to be enough data to say that black market vaping oil is a very poor risk.

Sure, inhaling pure vaporized nicotine – what could go wrong with that?
