Um. WHAT? I see that someone think’s the depiction is of the left erasing the right-wing. Seems stupid (no surprise, I guess): The GOP are certainly making themselves irrelevant by supporting this administration’s illegal, immoral and downright disgusting behavior. No need for liberals to do anything other than point out the problem.
PS: Inclusion only works if everybody agrees to joining. And I’m unwilling to join folks who think it’s better than okay to take away equal rights for all, abandon allies, increase the income gap, and loot our national resources for very short term gain. Just like they’re unwilling to join someone who thinks a woman’s right to choose is more important than their religious belief, that everybody should be treated fairly regardless of gender, race or national origin, and that we need to do something ASAP about the climate crisis.
Sorry but if these radical religious extremists (evangelists) won’t assimilate into America’s culture of acceptance and freedom, they have no place here.
So, the left wants to exclude fascists and racists. How intolerant of them. More bizarro logic from the Republican/Dixiecrat party of Trump. You know, I disagree with the basic Republican small government, etc. platform but I can understand it; however, the GOP has just become a perverted notion of that ideal and getting worse and worse over the last several decades.
Is this like the logic some conservatives have that they are being persecuted by intolerance when people don’t endure their intolerance and prejudice without complaint? I honestly would appreciate explanation on the reasoning behind this depiction. Without explanation, this appears nonsensical. And I would prefer to understand where this confusing assertion is coming from rather than dismiss it by default…even if I disagree with the reasoning.

No, SKELLEY. The so-called conservatives are the ones who don’t want to include anyone who is not lily white, (and rich).

Wasn’t it conservative Republicans who used to say “Better DEAD than Red!”?
Funny how that’s changed.

So, not capitulating to Putin like trump and his supporters, the Left is being intolerant? You’re confusing intolerance with patriotism.

It’s a relief to see that so many commentators are as puzzled by the significance of this allegory as I am.

Why would we want to include the group that’s been working for decades to destroy everything our democracy stands for?
