P3, Oh, no, he ran with scissors! How horrible. Who among us hasn’t done all of these things and more? I did way worse things than that and now look, I’m 67 years old snarking on stupid comic strips in the middle of the night. Nothing wrong with me, nope, nope, nope.

Extreme confirmation bias, this one has.

Chet’s right. Hair-pulling and scissors-throwing are known gateway drugs to cement shoes and sleeping with the fishes.

Y’know, I’ve got to step in with some serious pissed off. As it happens, my wife’s an elementary school teacher who works with behavioral students. (In her words, she pretty much demands to be placed with the “angry little boys.”) The horror stories she tells me about their upbringing and lives are daunting and sickening: fetal alcohol syndrome, parents wallowing drug addicts and/or in prison, 8 year olds hustling to sneak home extra food from the cafeteria for the 4 year old siblings who are hungry … heck, her kid last spring would beg toothbrushes and toothpaste from my wife because he was ashamed his breath smelled bad and his feckless parents would throw them away at home. (How many 7 yr old boys want to brush their teeth?) And this scum punk is on the school board and is unaware of this? Screw him sideways with a fishing gaff.

P2: Rustling . . . banditry . . . square dance calling . . . drinking beer . . . dancing close with girls . . . wearing his hat backwards. Better call in SWAT on this one.

Elementary school? Isn’t there some sort of statute of limitations here?

I can just see it now – Don Corleone: Give this job to Clemenza, have him use only hair pulls and throwing scissors. We don’t want anyone who’ll go crazy and actually hurt someone…

…..don’t omit the milk money racketeering caper Chance was the overload of in the 2nd grade.
