Baby woodpeckers are going to eat well tonight.

Man, that’s one big pecker!!!

The Ivory-billed Woodpecker Lives!

It wonders me if there are more of them in the woods.

“Sorry, hon, I always get nervous when we walk near the nuclear waste site.”

Grow them large in these parts !

Sequoiadendron giganteum, or the giant redwoodpecker!

Woody’s distant relative?

This one’s chirp will be a couple octaves below the standard chirp.

I always thought a woodpecker was a sexual prothesis.

Ah yes, the dreaded Tyrano-pecker. Quite a rare find!

Consider yourself grub.

And those guys are just about grub-sized. Delicious.

Somehow one of the giant birds from Amphibia has found its way to Bliss World. Uh-oh!

And this will be the last woodpecker you ever hear.

Or as my MIL called them ‘peckerwoods’.
