Seriously? Trump is trying to make an issue about the Biden family and Ukrainian corruption? Trump’s 2016 campaign chair is currently rotting in jail because of his many years of direct involvement in Ukrainian corruption!
Seriously? Trump is trying to make an issue of Joe Biden’s son working for a company that had (earlier) been investigated (and cleared) of profiting off foreign business activities while his father was vice president? Trump’s sons are making billions off dirty deals in Saudi Arabia and daughter Ivanka is making millions off special (tariff-waived) deals in China while their father is president, and don’t get me started on the lengthy list of Trump’s own direct EMOLUMENT-VIOLATING international deals for profit.
The hypocrisy astounds.
Trump consistently uses the Joseph Goebbels playbook: accuse others of what you are most guilty of (but then again, his closest advisor, Stephen Miller, is the reincarnation of Goebbels).
Disclaimer: Joe Biden is not my preferred candidate in the Democratic primary, and it would be easy to look the other way while an outsider takes pot shots, but the fact is that the charges are groundless, have been repeatedly discredited by Ukrainian prosecutors (no matter how many papers Rudy Giuliani waives on the Sunday morning talk shows), and we Democrats can select a nominee without having to resort to Republicanesque lies and smears.
Folks shouldn’t start celebrating yet. No surety that impeachment would actually take place. Moreover, the job of healing our country is much bigger than dealing with Trump.
He claimed he didn’t win the general election because of, you know, massive voter fraud for which he had no evidence. (Gulag Giuliani waving a bunch of papers on a talk show does not constitute evidence and is a rather chilling throwback to good ole Joe McCarthy.) All he really wants is some Ukrainian official to make a few complaints or suggestions, and that will be his evidence.
I’d say Trump is difficult to defend and the people he sent out to do the defending; Rudy, Lindsey Graham, Jim Jordon(R, Ohio), Stephen Miller to a man sounded like they were crazy. Rudy waved papers around, Lindsey read his talking points, Jim and Stephen tried to talk so fast and over talk the moderators that whatever they were trying say was obscured.
Interesting that the recent history of Ukraine, with its 2014 U.S-led coup that replaced Russiaphiles with fascists, and its oil shale formations in the eastern part of the country, is never brought up. I think that that history is crucial to even a little understanding of the latest political mess. And with so much low-hanging fruit, why make the Ukraine call the end all and be all of the impeachment “inquiry”?
As far as Biden is concerned, his son was co-owner of a $2.4 billion private equity firm before going to the Ukraine to be paid $50,000 a month by the largest gas firm in the country. Aw shucks, they’s all just regular folk.
It’s looking like Cяazy Doииie is going to have plenty of company in that trap, or locked up with him in the Big House. Impeachment is far too slow. He needs to be gone THIS WEEK!
Bear in mind that the State Department just re-opened the investigation of the Case of the Hillary Email Server. I swear, I always thought conservatives were about keeping the things that were good about the past. Turns out they’re just trying to turn back the clock in every way.
Barr asked Australia- A MEMBER OF FVEY (FiveEyes)- to help subvert the Republic. How could he be that stupid. How could he not know that Australia is perhaps our strongest Ally? They would never never team up against the United States.
The Intellectualist, a left-leaning news aggregator, points out that Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has received at least $800,000 in campaign donations from a man with ties to Putin-allied oligarchs, which could explain why the Senator has been increasingly supportive of President Trump lately.

Trump baited and set the trap himself (with a little help from Giuliani) and now he’s upset that it worked.

Hoist with his Own Petard – {a rhyme}
In “Hamlet” a dude* is described by the Bard
as having been “hoist with his own petard” **, -
- as in “caught by himSelf in his very own trap”.
Bye bye, Donald. That’s a wrap.
…
This character, name of Polonius, reminds us of Trump-the-Felonious.
This phrase means: “blown up by his very own bomb”.. . . . . . . . . . . .

Big mouth Trump handed Pelosi a Golden Ticket for impeachment.

Donald, if you got something on Biden, then have DOJ open an investigation. If you got nothing, then shut up. Simple as that.

Trump has been concerned about corruption in Ukraine for a long time. That’s why he hired Paul Manafort, who was the expert on the subject.
