Off to military school!

Throw everything out that isn’t clothing.

wrong thing to say to a mother. she always have a choice. “do it or else” and you don’t want to know what is “or else”.

Time for some real parenting.

Waiting doesn’t work, my wife’s birth mother is a total slob at 70.

Choices? She can “help” him tidy up. Use a large industrial weight black plastic trash bag and she can pick up everything that does not seem to have a home, easy to find as that stuff is just laying there. When she’s finished the place looks tidy and the kid has learned a lesson about messes (& the people the mess offends).

“Not so, buffalo breath!” ☺

Oh, I can think of all kinds of alternatives. The first begins with taking away his phone and internet.

It will only take once of cleaning the child’s room with a trash can to change the attitude about keeping the room clean!

Don’t need to wait for 30, just until he’s interested in girls.

You have a choice he is unaware of, Betty – tell him either do what you ask, or pack your stuff and leave and give him about 5 minutes to pack. If he packs his stuff, he won’t be gone long. Works like a charm.
