Yeah, I’d be careful what I did with my enmity.

[nerd alert] Back in the day, the Marvel villains roamed around and fought whoever, while the DC baddies would only fight the same guy over and over. Another reason I always said ‘Make Mine Marvel!’

I just don’t think Cap is ready for that level of commitment. Sorry, Negato, but you’re right – you’re gonna have to start fighting other people.

Lego Joker: You wanna play games, do you Batman? Save the city or catch your greatest enemy!

Lego Batman: You think you’re my greatest enemy?

Joker: Who else drives you to one-up them the way I do?

    Batman: Superman.

Joker: Superman’s not a bad guy!

Batman: I like to fight around.

Joker: You’re seriously saying that there’s nothing special about us?

Batman: There is no “us”. Never will be.

Joker: Are you seriously saying there is nothing, nothing special about our relationship?

Batman: Whoa. Let me tell you something, J-bird. Batman doesn’t do ’ships.

    Joker: What?

Batman: As in “relationships.” There is no “us.” Batman and Joker are not a thing. I don’t need you. I don’t need anyone. You mean nothing to me. No one does.

(The Lego Batman Movie. Cap and Mr. Negato did it first, of course.)

Batman had a whole plethora of villains, Joker, Riddler, Penguin, Mr Freeze, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Bane, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.

Hate to break it to you, Cap, but fighting other villians doesn’t mean Mr. Negato can’t be you’re arch nemesis. And Mr. Negato very rarely fights any other hero.

Perry the Platypus once lost his arch nemesis, Dr. Doofenschmirtz to another agent.
