It’s because all the food in the house falls into a single bottomless pit.

We also have boxed milk. The bags are just for large quantities of milk. It also doesn’t go bad with a tiny hole open to the air. A bag of milk, in a picture, will last for at least a week with no clamp on it.

Well if you didn’t eat them out of house and home maybe there would be something left. ………ever think about that before you stuff you face all day long.

My mom tried to sneak some dry milk (already mixed, of course) into the gallon jug. Of course we could taste the difference and would not drink it. This was the days when you only had your choice of whole milk or chocolate milk.

The real question is: Why we drink animal milk? Are we calves? Not only are humans the only species that consumes milk in adulthood, but they are also the only one to drink the milk of other animals. Biologically, cow’s milk is meant to feed a rapidly growing calf.

When my brother and I were teenagers, my mother always used to say that it was cheaper to clothe us, than to feed us.

My father said that the only time he’d had to replace the refrigerator light bulb.

I’ve read of an African tribe, who, before they domesticated goats, would nurse children until they were adolescents. The mothers would nurse the boys until they were 12, at which point they underwent a ceremony to become a man. One of the rules of being a man was that you couldn’t nurse from your mom anymore. The moms nursed the girls until they were 15, longer because they would be putting out milk for the rest of their lives and needed to get as much as they could when they could.
