Last Sunday, our pastor passed out pre-stamped, blank “thank you” cards to everyone, suggested sending them to someone “just because”. I grabbed 2: sent one to one of my sisters, who is still like my role model, and to my daughter’s Godmother.
Way back in the late 1950s, my sister and brother were home with the mumps at the same time. When they went back to school, my mother sent my brothers’ teacher a sympathy card.
