I’m guessing it’s not a coincidence that the skeptic mouse is on the right of the panels. If the mouse was like Trump and his fellow environmental criminals it’s last words would have been, “F***k the children”.
There were real experiments testing this theory done with rats and mice starting in the 1950s by John Calhoun.

These were all part of John Calhoun’s experiments to study the effects of population density on behavior. But what looked like rat utopias and mouse paradises at first quickly spiraled into out-of-control overcrowding, eventual population collapse and seemingly sinister behavior patterns.

What I’ve seen happen with crowded mouse populations is that eventually the population stops growing once it reaches a certain density because the adults start eating the babies. Problem solved! Jonathan Swift was right!
