The Constitution does not provide the ammosexual assault type weaponry as a replacement for their inadequate penile extremity or sexual performance. Also, the Constitution does not exempt those lacking the intelligence in understanding what “well regulated militia” means in regard to the 2nd Amendment. Contrary to the tightly held belief by some that the ammosexual deserves unfettered access to any type of weaponry, The safety and well being of Americans takes precedence.
Remember that even collecting data on gun violence is exactly the same as abolishing the second amendment and confiscating all guns (except from criminals).

To Varvel and Jeffrey Cartwright, I am a combat veteran who was trained with different types of guns and who has spoken with many people, including many gun owners. From what I have seen and heard, many gun owners are not competent to handle their guns in emergency situations. I have been out of the service for almost 50 years and I’m not sure if I could properly handle some emergencies, though I would de better than some of the gun owners I have spoken with.
Beto isn’t even in my top ten list for Democratic candidate, but I’m completely okay with the idea that assault weapons simply aren’t the subject of the second amendment.

It’s interesting to note that while most gun owners say they need a gun to protect themselves from their fellow Americans, most won’t join a service (military, law enforcement) to protect their fellow Americans. It’s almost as if they see their fellow Americans as the enemy.
What does that make a person who distrusts everyone else around to the point of needing to be armed against them?
I would be happy if every single AR-15 and AK-47 (or similar) were confiscated. Don’t like it? I don’t care. I don’t like your guns threatening my community.
Every year for decades, the horror of WW2 ‘n Pearl Harbor is broadcast. In those broadcasts, and on the various outlets that do so, I remember a quote from (I think it was) from Admiral Chester Arthur. He stated that the Japanese decided NOT to invade the US of A on the West Coast, ’cause they KNEW that most Americans had guns at their disposal. I’d have to say that Beto re-think his statement that he’s going to come ‘n take said guns from Americans, as he’d have one helluva fight on his hands !
